German Chamomile is the common name for the medicinal variety of Chamomile. There is also Roman Chamomile (Chamaemelum nobile), which is used mainly for Essential Oil production)

Chamomile is very bitter and has a slight “mouldy” taste.

There are many folklore stories surrounding Chamomile, some of which go back to the most ancient times. Throughout history, it has been associated with sun Gods, magical powers, and luck bringers.

Chamomile plant uses are numerous, as this flower is often used in both culinary and non-culinary contexts.

Our Solaris Chamomile is certified organic. This guarantees our product has grown on soils on which no pesticides applied (which is particularly important in flowers, as often high quantities of pesticides are used).
