Some of the first references can be found in the Bible’s Old Testament while the first recorded use of Juniper Berries as herbal remedy dates back to ancient Egypt.
They were later used by the Romans, who thought they could help purify the stomach. Some ancient tribes were also known to burn Junipers to unleash their aromatic scent during rituals.
