Beau-Tea Tip: How to Winter-Proof your Skin Using Tea!
It's hard to admit that winter is on its way, but if you want to make sure your skin stays soft in the harsher weathers, its time to start preparing now. You need to protect your skin from the artificial heat inside and the cold outside. Beauty companies will have you spending a small fortune on lotions and potions, but the truth is a simple handful of tea leaves contains a whole host of beauty benefits that can keep your skin protected and rejuvenated through the frosty months ahead.
Winter will rob your skin of vital moisture, and as moisture escapes, dead skin cells collect on the surface resulting in a dull complexion. Exfoliation is the best method to remove these dead cells, which in turn will allow your moisturizer to work more effectively. A quick trick is to add a couple of tablespoons of loose green tea to your regular cleanser, stir it up and slather it on. Leave it to sit for five minutes on the skin to soften any dead skin cells. Gently rub and buff the skin with a warm flannel to remove the mixture. Repeat twice a week to promote soft, glowing skin.
