The Heart Chakra - Anahata

Today we continue our journey through our 7 Solaris 'Be Better' Chakra teas.

Last week we finished our 3 lower chakras, the ones responsible for our grounding on this earth:  Muladhara or  Root Chakra, Sadhistana or Sacral Chakra and  Manipura or Solar Plexus.

Now we invite you to learn more about the Anahata, or the Heart Chakra.

Anahata, from Hindu, means the “secret chamber of the heart”.

This chakra is found in the center of the chest- in the heart field- as its name suggests. It’s also directly connected with the Thymus gland.

Color: Green or Pink
Mantra: YAM;
Crystals: Green, pink and emerald quartz;
Symbol: 6-pointed star;
Petals: 12;
Element: air;
Gland: thymus;

General physical functions: Benefits immunity, cardiac and lung functions.

The Heart/ Anahata Chakra is regarded as the central point of the seven chakras, in essence it is linked to our astral body, where it functions as the connector of the three lower chakras (Muladhara, Sadhistana and Manipura) which connect us to the earth and the three upper chakras which connect us to our heaven. Therefore the Heart Chakra connects our Heaven and Earth, making it possible for our hearts to transform our earthly energies for the spiritual plane.

It energizes all the chakras in the body, looking for a way to balance them.

All the vibration of the chest and the respiratory system comes from it, so it becomes a channel for our feelings and love. Thus providing a more balanced aura, full of compassion, gratitude and generosity

The personal power to love and be loved is awakened in this chakra.

On the physical side, the immune system depends on the health of the Heart Chakra.

Positive effects when aligned:

  • Greater vigour due to the good energization of the other chakras;
  • Harmony in material and spiritual life;
  • Love for life;
  • Enhanced Spirituality;
  • Balanced life;
  • Balance and harmony in relationships;
  • Contagious happiness;
  • Confidence in decisions;
  • Compassion;
  • Ability to understand and forgive;
  • Broad view on life issues.

Just as a fever indicates that our immune system is under pressure.

When the heart chakra is out of balance, we can experience the sensations of anguish, tightness in the chest, tachycardia, shortness of breath, sadness, ‘loss of heart’, low self-esteem, selfishness and a feeling of not being accepted and loved.

These sensations can lead to complaints such as:

  •     Depression;
  •     Anxiety disorders;
  •     Palpitations;
  •     Tachycardia;
  •     Feelings of Isolation;
  •     Heart problems;
  •     Materialism;
  •     Dependence both material and in relationships;
  •     Inconsistency in our affections;
  •     Frustrations;
  •     Difficulty committing to relationships.

Sometimes, it is necessary to do a "detox" of feelings, clean up and leave behind everything we have been storing throughout life, in the form of attachments, frustrations and hurts.

By learning how it works and the main elements that can restore the balance of this important chakra, everything around us naturally starts to rebalance.

It’s with the purpose to help you realign your ‘Anahata’ Chakra that we created in collaboration with Kerstin Linnartz, Yoga teacher and TV presenter our Be Better Heart Chakra Tea‘ I love’
