Today we continue our journey through our 7 Solaris 'Be Better' Chakra teas.

Last week we built on the 'solid foundation' of the Muladhara or Root Chakra moving up to the Sadhistana or Sacral Chakra exploring this centre of our 'true identity' and the importance of 'clear boundaries' and also the 'practice of forgiveness'.

Today we take look at the 'Solar Plexus' or Manipura meaning 'lustrous GEM' in Sanskrit.

A chakra very dear to us as it represents the essence of our company 'Solaris Botanicals'

Connected to one of the most powerful of all planets the SUN or Solaris

It has been described as THE SUN WITHIN YOU!

This 10 petalled lotus is the 3rd Chakra sitting just above the naval and below the ribs.

GOLDEN/ YELLOW in colour it is regarded as the place our 'Nectar of Life' sits.

Linked to the element FIRE it is seen as our powerhouse for VITALITY and PERSONAL POWER.

Thought to be a powerful centre for ABUNDANCE, taking ACTION and the MANIFESTATION of our dreams.

Whilst last week we spoke about bringing our feminine aspects into balance; this week we connect to our masculine energy -YANG energy.

How can we create EQUAL PARTNERSHIPS within ourselves, within our personal relationships and within our diverse world community!

Balancing our feminine and masculine aspects.

Connected to our MIND and CONSCIOUSNESS

Organs the Muladhara is linked to:

  • The stomach, pancreas, liver, spleen and intestine.
  • Helping us to receive and assimilate our food.
  • Stimulating our digestive fire.

It's also related to the endocrine gland and our eye-sight.

When Balanced, the Solar Plexus/ Manipura brings:

  • An ease in attracting abundance, clear vision of our goals and ambitions, an ability to start and finish projects.
  • Self-confidence
  • Strong Leadership qualities.
  • Self-reliance.
  • Equal partnerships.
  • Strong boundaries- knowing when to say 'Yes' and 'No'.
  • Healthy digestion- fully receiving, assimilating nutrients and expelling whats no longer needed.

When the Solar Plexus/ Manipura is Imbalanced we might experience:

  • Problems with the Digestive system.
  • Indecision.
  • A need to control people and situations.
  • Dependancy/ Co-dependancy.
  • Insecurity and Anxiety about what people think.
  • Finding ouselves easily manipulated and unsure of our personal boundaries.

    Affirmation:

'I am powerful and independent. I can accomplish tasks with grace and ease.'

Mantra: RAM

Now let's take a look at our beautiful 'I DO' Solaris 'Be Better' Chakra Tea and the wonderful herbs contained in it to balance and stimulate the Manipura or 'Solar plexus' Chakra:

Some studies also suggest that polyphenols have a positive effect on replenishing and building up prebiotics to maintain good gut health.

Earthy and rich in flavour.

Contains caffeine but a lot less than a standard cup of coffee.

Orange Peel

Citrus x aurantium- ours is organic which is crucial as none organic oranges are heavily sprayed with chemicals for preservation.

Uplifting and floral helping us to feel empowered and joyful.

As with the flesh the peel is source of vitamin C and flavanoids which protects our cell health as well as benefiting our circulation.

It is a bitter which stimulates our digestive juices and helps with acid reflux.

Contains pectin which helps ease constipation and also helps balance our blood sugar levels which can be useful for weight loss.

Cinnamon bark

Cinnamomum zeylanicum

A wonderful warming, earthy spice. It helps to warm our digestive system, releases any trapped wind and balances our blood sugar levels. It also boosts concentration and memory and helps focus on the present moment.

Cardamon

Elettaria cardamomum

A beautiful sensuous and uplifting spice. It helps alleviate anxiety and symptoms of depression. Warming and stimulating it stimulates our digestive juices by connecting to our sense of smell. It clears our breathe and gentle cleanses the body.

Clove bud

Caryophyllus aromaticus

A pungent spice which helps ease inflammation, bloating, indigestion and promotes absorption and assimilation of food. Heating and energising with mild aphrodisiac properties. Powerful cleanser of our lymphatic system.

When to drink:

This authentic, uplifting Indian Black Tea Chai recipe helps us put our dreams into realisation. Drink this tea in the morning or when you need the energy to complete an important project or meeting. Very nice with or without your milk of choice.
